Wellsford School 2020Wellsford School 2020

The ’05’ ventured to Wellsford school last week and managed to engage over 190 students with 2 sessions each in 4 days! With many students new to the game of Rugby League the ‘Intro to League’ programme seemed like the perfect weapon for this school as they learned two key fundamental skills of Rugby League while having fun playing games.

It was an amazing 4 days with some absolutely brilliant students to teach. Well done Wellsford school, you guys are fantastic!!

We look forward to sending the 05 back to your school again!

Parua Bay School 2020Parua Bay School 2020

A magnificent few days was spent in Parua Bay School by the 05 in June. Running through an introduction to Rugby League programme, the 05 managed to engage 154, Year 5-8, students some of the key fundamental skills of Rugby League through two sessions.

Parua Bay School is one of the feeder schools to the mighty Manaia Makos Rugby League club which unfortunately didn’t manage to field a junior team into the competition this year but will hopefully gain new life and inspiration from some of these awesome local kids and return to the fold in 2021.

Many thanks to Rob Jones, Parua Bay School and the cool students for hosting RLN in 2020!
