I have attached a ‘KiwiTag Quick Intro’ for those schools interested in KiwiTag so that coaches and players can immediately start to learn and play the game! Rugby League Northland has introduced KiwiTag into the Intermediate and Secondary School programme this year to engage those that enjoy Rugby League but are a little shy of the contact. KiwiTag incorporates all aspects of Rugby League, except tackling, to keep its essence and authenticity. Rugby League Northland runs KiwiTag in schools as an attempt to engage those students who wouldn’t necessarily have the confidence to sign up to a school team and compete against other schools in Rugby League proper (Please note KiwiTag is a fun game for all shapes, sizes, experience levels and aimed at getting students out on the paddock).

Year 7&8 Nine-a-side Rugby League Festival
- Date: Thursday, November 5
- Venue: TBC (Bream Bay College or Otaika Sports Park)
- Entry due by: Friday, October 30
- All players MUST have mouthguards. NO boots. Boys and Girls grades – (Please indicate on the entry form what grade your team will enter. Any ‘mixed’ teams will be entered into the Boys grade)
If schools have any enquiries regarding KiwiTag or Rugby League deliveries prior to these festivals please do not hesitate to contact Corza at corip@rln.co.nz.
