
Competitions, Communications and Administration Manager
Rugby League Northland is excited to advertise the above vacancy. Rugby League Northland is an organisation that continues to develop. Over the last five years it has grown from 1 employee to four full time employees and has increased participation from 620 in 2010 to over 3000 in 2016.
This role is essential to ensure the smooth management of all Rugby League competitions in Northland as well as to ensure that Rugby League Northland events are visual to the greater Northland and NZ community.
The successful applicant will need to be a self starter with strong communications skills and the ability to manage time lines and projects. They will need to be computer and website literate with an eye for detail and will need to have the confidence to be able to learn the Leaguenet database and be able to deliver training to volunteers. They will ideally have a background in marketing or communications and be passionate about sport. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programmes would be ideal.
Hours of work are between 9 and 5pm Mon – Fri. The successful applicant will need to be flexible with their hours as there will be some evening work and weekend work. This is a 12 month fixed term contract based on 40 hours per week. The role will report to the RLN General Manager.
