Jennian Homes Juniors – NORTH – Round 1
If you can see it, touch it, feel it, you believe it. Believing in a dream can go a long way to make things happen.
20 young men from Northland had the opportunity to play on the sacred turf of the Warriors home ground on Monday, 22nd April. The team was made up of the NorthTec Adam Blair XIII (Secondary School Representative team) with a couple of additions from the NorthTec Rugby League Academy, who played against the Warriors Academy team.
The 16-12 scoreline showed great improvement from 36-4 loss from 3 weeks ago. James Dean Fisher-Harris (WBHS) was again named man of the match from the Warriors Coaching staff, with a special mention to Hamish Pomare (Kaitaia College).
The bonus of getting an expose on Maori TV added a professional feel to the day. Maori TV Interview at Mt Smart
NorthTec sponsored the transport as part of the link for the development of Rugby League in Northland and the NorthTec Academy. Jon Renes from the Academy attended the event as a relationship building initiative.
